well.. i just spent an hour researching on which digital camera to buy.. and i finally found one at a good price… the canon s230. at compusa, it’s being advertised for 250 but i have i a 10% discount. it’s 3.2 megapixels… 3x optical zoom.. small. and i like canon’s features…

it’s not only out of stock on the internet… it’s out of stock in every store in the la area… sigh… every other internet store i’ve seen has been selling it for 300 dollars at least…. so.. back to research. my sister wanted me to get the a200 from canon.. but i saw it in the store today.. and i don’t like it much… i was looking into the pentax 33L… i find it to be an ugly camera.. but it has some pretty neat features on it.. eh… we’ll see what happens with that….

“you’ll find a camera sooner or later. don’t worry about it”… hehe… monica also told me that 250 bucks was “quite a lot of money for a camera”… sometimes… i wonder… haha

i was also looking into wireless routers…. compusa is selling belkin wireless 802.11b routers for 30 bucks after 30 dollar rebate. which is pretty good.. it’s not the top of the line 802.11G’s but… do computers really need to transfer that fast… yah.. i’m sure people said that once about… 486 computers… i remember thinking man.. 1.0 ghz pentiums.. why would anyone need a computer faster than that… technologies.. increasing exponentially….

anyways… so.. i figure.. a 802.11b is efficient enough for home use… and i’m not going to be the one using wireless anyways.. so it doesn’t matter to me… i found yahoo sbc dsl for 27 a month.. which is.. just.. 5 bucks more than aol. it comes with the modem and everything… plus $50 activation fee.. why’s it cost so much to activate… hmm.. yes…

my dog was just sleeping on my lap and now she walked away… she kinda smells.. sarah says i smell.. but.. this dog.. roomie.. smells… she’s getting so big… man.. she’s so cute….

don’t ask me what i’m doing.. honestly.. i really don’t know… me and my sister had some spare time before dinner at the stinking rose last monday so.. she was just snapping pictures of me… i’m a weird looking guy… don’t you think?

well… i ingested a chocolate brownie frap earlier today and for about an hour afterwards i was totally wired.. ask monica.. she knows.. but yah… brownie fraps; would you like some coffee with that sugar coated brownie and chocolate fudge mix?… i was bouncing off the walls.. then.. i crashed for a little bit.. and.. i just.. felt… bleh… and now.. i can’t sleep… i haven’t had a drop of coffee in for a couple months now.. i seem to be very sensitive to it.

now i gotta piss like a race horse.. but i’m too… hmm.. i guess, lazy … to go to the bathroom. i’ve been working on the la central website again… here’s the beta version of the site. yup.. i started from square one again. and it looks completely different now.. don’t you think?.. i have yet to give it a general audience though… i find something different to change in it all the time…

it’s going to be my crown jewel…. my mona lisa… my opus… then my mom or someone else is going to look at it and say.. “this website is crap”.. and i’m gonna nod my head and smile and the fall into a deep deep depression realizing how big of a failure i am but mask it with, of course, a smile.. =) *shake my head…

i was trying to decide on a snowboard or cash for a digital camera… truth be told i want both. it seems the latter would be more practical… though winter is just around the corner.. i’m not a very good boarder anyways… yet.. i have this feeling that i’m going to lose a camera if i get one.. i’ve always had bad luck when i’ve bought expensive things. ie … (my subwoofer, my automatic car starter, my jetta’s strut bar, school text books) all things i never used. i’ve wanted to get an air intake for my car.. but i doubt i’d install it if i got it… *sigh… a guitar.. a guitar is something i’d use… but they’re pretty pricey…

my servers letting me delete and copy now… so.. if you haven’t noticed.. version o.2 is up… the little logs on the side work.. but really.. i realize most of them are just for me too look back on and think … o… i was thinking that at the time. i heard a sermon the other day from joey and one of the points he made was that you should literally count your blessing at the end of each day. write it down somewhere.. and i think two of my blogs are kinda like that… the star-blogs haven’t been updated regularly though…

i went to work at the union rescue mission (URM) for the weekend. if you’ve never done it before.. i recommend you do it at least once in your life. it’s such an interesting experience. from friday night to sunday morning, we (church) served two to 3 sets of meals for each meal. when we weren’t serving, we were cooking/cutting/cleaning for the next set of meals, non-stop from 5:30 am to 8 at night. we got one break at 10 to have worship. you can’t complain though.. cause well.. they’re so greatful for the help…

i said “yes, i could. but it’d be tough.”

she wasn’t too happy that i answered her question but either way.. all i wanted to do after we were done was to go to sleep. of course… i had to go through another one of joe’s gay escapades. but that’s a different story.

i’m not one to believe in coincidence. going to the phillipines totally thwarted that belief. everything, yes everything, happens for a reason. i mean… just going to empower… every place i went.. i was there for a reason.. i learned something new… and i think i learned something from URM. they say (who’s they), that everyone is only a couple paychecks away from being homeless. which is so true. once we’re not living off our parents penny and on our own, a wrong decision could find us on the streets.

God’s grace gives us the good things we don’t deserve, and his mercy keeps us from getting the bad things we do deserve…

leaving URM i realized i have a new line on my hand. my sister tells me it’s just age. but i think it’s more… someone else (maybe mike?) joked that it means i’ll have new wife in my life. either way.. i feel like.. my future was altered for some reason this weekend. something new came into my life..
