who’s He-Man?

The election season seems to now be in full stride. This week is the RNC. Apparently George Bush had a good speech today, according to Jessica. I’ve yet to hear it.

The DNC was last week and for some reason, maybe it’s because of Gustav, it seemed to have had more publicity than this weeks RNC.

One moment that really sticks out in my head is Michelle Obama speaking on Tuesday.

I’m willing to bet only I see this, but I feel like she resembles Skeletor, the archenemy of He-Man. I would have to say I am probably far too young to remember the cartoon that well. According to Wikipedia, the cartoon ran in 1983 so I was only 2 at the time. And I’m pretty sure I haven’t seen Skeletor for at least 20 years.

But when I saw her speaking at the DNC, something triggered in my head. She’s Skeletor. Maybe it’s politically incorrect for me to say that. Is it because she’s a black politician? Is that politically incorrect for me to say too?

So I played around with Photoshop today (this is my new favorite hobby), and I came out with this.

Eh.. it’s probably just me again.

FireFox Solved

I love FireFox.

But, I love how the fonts look on Safari/IE. If you’ve every used these two, you know what I’m talking about.

I stumbled across the solution late at night

Right click the desktop > Properties >
Appearance Tab > Effects Button >
Click on “Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts” >
scroll down to ClearType > Click OK > Apply.

Now I can use the power of FireFox with the beauty of Safari without the nasty memory leak.

It’s amazing how satisfying this is for me.
