hen Jessica got a new laptop last year, she gave me her old macbook. I hadn’t really used it much until recently. I feel claustrophobic when I use the macOS; It’s a feeling I just couldn’t get used to. A week ago, I decided to change the mac to ubuntu. Outside of a few minor hiccups here and there (sketchy trackpad/dark webcam), ubuntu runs on the macbook right out of the “box”. I’ve been loving it since.

I did this little mod on the outside casing. I put stickers on the apple logo (the thing that glows) so through my black macbook case, it displays the apple logo with the ubuntu logo inside.

Pretty cool, huh?

I’m enjoying it so much, I’m thinking about buying more ram for my laptop. It’s the first time I’ve actually started referring to the laptop as mine.

I’d put ubuntu on my home pc if only it ran games better. Maybe I’ll dual boot it. (hmm, that’s an idea)
