“love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. it is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.” – 1 cor. 13:4

i was going to write a very elaborate column about what love is and all that.. but frankly.. i kept hitting dead ends.. i really don’t know what to say about the topic. read the whole love chapter.. it’s written very poetically by paul. at times.. it seems like he goes off topic.. (talking about when he was a child and other stuff like that). i don’t understand.. the connection..

… love is not rude, not self-seeking not easily angered …

how many times.. have you told someone that you loved them and been upset that they didn’t love you back…?

i’m always weary of saying i love you.. it’s really not something i say to anyone.. even jokingly. there’s only a handful of people i could probably say it to.. and.. i think of those.. only a couple have actually heard me say it to them. it’s so powerful.

this blog probably.. is really hard to follow.. and that’s probably cause … i really have nothing to share that.. people would.. learn from. i mean.. i can say.. the only true love is from God.. but.. who doesn’t know that?..

love is self sacrifice. i was in a bible study the other day.. and the general consensus was that self sacrifice was what love was. which i guess is true. i mean.. who showed the greatest love but jesus sacrificing his life for all of ours..
